Vacuuming Kills Fleas

Okay, granted this animal is slightly larger than the ones we generally deal with here, it seemed fitting since fleas do carry bacteria.  Keep vacuuming.  According to Ohio State University vacuuming gets rid of fleas, specifially cat fleas (Ctenocephalides felis) in all their stages.  (whew! That’s a relief.)

Even better is getting rid of carpet. When we swtiched to smooth surfaced floors, we stopped getting our annual flea infestation in the dry, warm, Santa Ana weather. Much better than getting rid of our two furry friends. Still have to keep vacuuming to get rid of the cat hari dust bunnies, though. 🙂

We did the same. We have carpeting in the living room, but the dogs (2) are not allowed in there. However, my corgie likees to pace instead of curling up at my feet. When we watch TV we get from Boston Legal, “I thought you agreed to stop shooting.” tap tap tap “… suing us” tap tap tap ”
“I know I’ve seen you …” tap tap tap.
Are doggie footies in my future?
